negative progress

aaargh. It's been a bad week, and the same with Branching Out. I'm about 14 repeats in, but every time this week I've had a chance to knit, I ended up frogging just as much (or more) as I knitted. Kept making all different mistakes. I even stopped watching TV to see if that helped, and last night I STILL ended up frogging about 15 rows.

hang in there...I'm selfishly happy to read your email. I've read a lot of posts where people have memorized the repeats and are cruising along...I have to look at each row of diretions (even the purl ones because I count the stitches to make sure I did the pattern row right) and tick off my rows...be happy and knit on.

I completely sympathize with your plight. After a week of knitting and tinking and making very little progress, I finally put my Branching Out aside for a bit and started an easier project. I'm hoping that a little distance will improve my relationship with my BO. Not to mention, somewhere in the middle section of any project, things start to go crazy. Keep it up. You'll be crusin' soon.

You'll be OK - Once I got past the 3/4 mark I did much better. There was no memorization on my part that's for sure!

And before you know it - the thing will be done and you can block it and be proud!
